Why I Want My Kids To Fail...................!!!

I don’t want my kids to win every basketball, football or soccer game.

I want them to occasionally play against kids who are much bigger than them in an unfair match-up.

I want the referee to get it wrong with them sometimes.

I don’t want them to get 100% for every spelling or maths test.

I don’t want them to master every piano piece on the first attempt.

I want them to know that it’s not the end of the world if they fall off the balance beam during competition.

I want them to occasionally scrape their knees and bruise their shins.

I want them to learn how to take risks and be slightly embarrassed when things don’t go to plan.

I want my kids to fail sometimes.

I want them to build their resilience.

I want them to learn how to persist during difficult times.

I want them to know that life is full of challenges and these challenges can be overcome.

Of course I want my kids to be happy.   In my completely unbiased opinion, they are the best kids in the world and I want nothing but the best for them.

But the best for our kids isn’t an armchair ride.  It’s equipping them with the strength required to make it in the big, wide world when they are older.

YES !!! I want my kids to grow in this way only so that they can be winners of tomorrow ! for a new world to face any challenge of life !

One day we are going to meet our maker- GOD !
GOD will ask three questions to us :
1. Did you live
2. Did you love
3. Did you give

And what will be our true answers ?

In the rat race of life we seldom forgets the true ways of living and these are the true ways : Living, Loving and Giving !

While living means – living in the very present moment and not in the past or not in the future . when we start living in the present we start realizing that the life is so beautiful and wonderful. Despite all the problems of our life, if we become positive and look forward for a new moment to happen, we get whatever happiness we want !
And Loving means – loving unconditionally . let the love happen , let the love flow , let the love shine . that’s the true meaning of love ! No demands but only giving expressing in pure love.

And most importantly , giving . Giving makes us more human , it brings us more closer to god . giving is an act of kindness which is an act of godliness !

So my dear souls , start living , loving and giving and let me assure you that only these acts of you will make your life more meaningful.

Run a food drive ! Help the hunger ! Please !!!

Today I would like you to pay attention towards the hunger and hungry people of this world. Before I pledge you to support the hunger, I would like to present some facts to you:

1. Everyday more than 20000 children dies because of hunger
2. More than 925 million people go undernourished on a daily basis
3. More than 13.1 percent of the world’s population is hungry
4. Each year, 17 million children are born underweight because their mothers are malnourished.
5. Nearly 98 percent of worldwide hunger exists in underdeveloped countries
6. Poverty is the main cause of hunger, and hunger is a cause of poverty
7. Women in hunger are so deficient of basic nutrients (like iron) that more than 315,000 women die during childbirth from hemorrhaging every year.
8. The world produces enough food to feed all 7 billion people who live in it, but those who go hungry either do not have land to grow food or money to purchase it.
9. It costs just US $0.25 per day to provide a child with all of the vitamins and nutrients he or she needs to grow up healthy.
10. Hunger can be eliminated in our lifetimes

While we all know these facts, we hardly do anything or contribute for the unprivileged and unfortunate brothers and sisters of ours!!!

Let’s give our life a meaning. Let’s give a cause to live for.

Please help others who are hungry. There is no better human drive than food donation. Please take a pledge to donate on regular basis and make it a habit to give food and money directly to the needy than through any agency. This humble act of yours will bring you more closer to GOD and gives you the pleasure of humanity which will last for a lifetime!
