My dear souls;
I wish you all today on this auspicious day of Gurupurnima ..!
गुरुर ब्रह्मा गुरुर विष्णु गुरूर देवो महेश्वराय।
गुरुर्साक्षात परब्रह्म तस्मै श्री गुरुवे नम:।।
Guru Purnima is a festival traditionally celebrated in honour to the masters. The word guru is derived from two words, 'Gu' and 'Ru' . The Sanskrit root "Gu" means darkness or ignorance. "Ru" denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore one who removes darkness of our ignorance is a Guru. So Guru is most necessary part of lives. On this day, disciples offer puja (worship) or pay respect to their Guru (Spiritual Guide). It falls on the day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh (June–July) Traditionally the festival is celebrated by Buddhists in the honor the lord Buddha who gave His first sermon on this day. For all the seekers this day is very special.
My dear Friends, Guru has been described as the ultimate savior . And without the master with us , we can never achieve , whatever we want to achieve in our lives. All of us ; in this battle of life are in the pursuit of spirituality and we are walking on an endless journey. Hrudayam group every day helps you all to continue your spiritual journey along with others with the blessings of so many masters of our universe.
There were 16 Masters to Lord Krishna. Just Think. If God can not live without masters , how can we ? Take hold of the master and get his /her blessings for your inner journey .
Swami Sivananda describes the Role of the Guru as : "Do you realize now the sacred significance and the supreme importance of the Guru's role in the evolution of man? It was not without reason that the India of the past carefully tended and kept alive the lamp of Guru-Tattva. It is therefore not without reason that India, year after year, age after age, commemorates anew this ancient concept of the Guru, adores it and pays homage to it again and again, and thereby re-affirms its belief and allegiance to it. For, the true Indian knows that the Guru is the only guarantee for the individual to transcend the bondage of sorrow and death, and experience the Consciousness of the Reality."
I am very lucky to have Osho, shri Ravi Shankar, Murari Bapu, and Dalai Lama as my masters . And above all, Shri SaiBaba is my Lord, My master and my friend.
Once again I wish you all a great Gurupurnima .
Om Sai Ram ...!
Yours
Vijay
